Think your map is wrong…

Hey Todd – Thanks for the heads up! I’ve corrected the map!
Hello:
I hope the following post is found permissible here on this blog for I was not certain. Currently, I am looking for Weekend Hunters, preferably Bow & Arrow Hunters for my private land located in rural Macon County, Alabama (Little Texas community): in the 36083 zip code area. If seriously interested, please contact me for more information & fee schedule Thank You: 334.339.3025
Greg,
It appears that different info for harvesting a doe with archery tackle is posted on the ALDNR webpage from what is posted here. Can you look into that and make sure that the info you posted is correct? I can’t get anybody on the phone at AL Outdoors to discuss the discrepancy.
Hey Dan – Thanks for the heads up! I’ve corrected the dates.
Some of This information in reference to the Deer Bow Season is incorrect. Either Sex Deer Harvesting is actually Oct. 14 ( Bow Season Opening Day ) in Zone B not Bucks only. Either way we do not Harvest many Doe anyway on our place but just for those who do. Look it up on the Al. DNR website you will see.
Hi Mike – I’ve gone ahead and corrected the info. Thanks for the note!
Hi Greg,
thank you very much for a very understandable info. No more lurking on official dept pages :)
Good luck with your hunting this season!
Thanks for the easy to understand info. I agree with Jesse and Raymond about the rut. Had a guy from Michigan try to tell me that the rut in N. Alabama begins in mid-November and is over by January. Maybe in Kentucky, but I’ve been hunting deer in Jackson County for over 40 years and watched bucks chasing does into late February. Last year nearly hit a buck in March on highway 72 between Woodville and Huntsville. He was chasing a doe and still had his antlers; his neck was as big as my waist. The rut’s getting later. Happy hunting.
What they all said above! Thanks for making it easy and to the point!
Well done Greg! Very helpful, indeed!
Thanks for putting a great effort on organizing the information.
Keep up the good works!
Thanks for taking the time to make the new regulations easy to read Well done
Good job braking it down for all to see and understand.
Awesome job! It’s also so difficult to decipher this info from the official government pamphlets.
Thank you for taking the time to spread this info out of state hunter been trying to get the date’s locked down
The biologists for north Alabama need to get off their buts and do their jobs I had bucks chasing does throughout the month of February in my back yatd
Amen to that due to whatever change it’s warmer into the later months pushing rut deeper into season needs to be changed!!!
Thank good job very helpful
Thanks so much very helpful…..but all the rules and regulations even if u own your own land they r making it hard as heck for u to have wild game in ur freezer…..what happen to …”Hey get ur gun lets go hunting days” ….guess those days r like every thing else gone….but u did great job found what we needed
