About

Hello!

I’m a Design Lead at WebDevStudios, where we do amazing things with WordPress. In my spare time, I volunteer as an Audio Engineer at Wiregrass Church, and serve as both assistant den leader and committee secretary of Cub Scout Pack 77. I also happen to be an ISTJ and run Wiregrass Works – a co-working space.

Longer Bio (written in the 3rd person)

Greg’s first job was at the local radio station and for ten years he worked as Broadcast Engineer. Even though he’s not in the broadcasting anymore, he’s still a member of (and certified) by the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

During his broadcast career, he never stopped writing code. In addition to his on-air and engineering duties, he was also the “web guy”. He taught himself Classic ASP, PHP, CSS, Sass, and Javascript. In 2006, Greg discovered WordPress (v2.1 Ella Fitzgerald) and has been converting PSD’s into WordPress themes ever since.

Greg actively speaks at WordCamps, contributes to WordPress Core, BuddyPress, the Genesis Framework, and is part of the WordPress Theme Review team. Greg also loves the outdoors. When he’s not in front of a computer; he’s usually at the lake, in a duck blind or up in a deer stand.

He and his family reside in southern Alabama.
